The Band Perry Ecstatic Over Grammy Nomination

Its kind of like a dream, lead vocalist Kimberly Perry told Access Hollywoods Shaun Robinson at the Grammy nominations concert in Los Angeles of their Best New Artist nod. Were ecstatic. The boys and I have always been in love with the Grammys Im talking like, made an event of it every single year, she continued, referencing bandmates/brothers Reid and Neil Perry. So, for us its like the Super Bowl! The 28-year-old singer said the band whose breakthrough hit, If I Die Young, did not land in any country categories on this years Grammy ballot as it was up for Best Country Song last year has a tried and true strategy for keeping their nerves at bay at award shows. We always kind of work on the assumption that were not going to get any nominations or awards, so then were pleasantly surprised, she told Shaun. So tonight, we were pleasantly surprised!
